Good Things Take Time

Roughly 60% of the 2022 grapes are in the cellar and after several episodes of rain and November-like temperatures, the sun is finally shining with blue skies and friendly 20°C. Grüner Veltliner grapes out there look just perfect and weather forecasts are promising.

So far so good - let’s put this harvest on hold and get as many extra days for ripeness and concentration as we can get. Plus, taking a harvest break will give us more time and energy to look after the musts that are already bubbling in the cellar.

2022, we’ve had our disputes and major disagreements and you have been quite rough on us but if we can bring these beautiful, perfectly healthy and unbelievably tasty Grüner Veltliner grapes into the cellar without any major disruptions, we might be able to reconcile, even a little bit…
